This Saturday class will start out exploring the playscape and then eventually will lead to roaming about Governors Island!
Basic body weight exercises - like rolling, rocking, and crawling - develop whole body strength and coordination. Dynamic animal movements like the leopard crawl and monkey gallop integrate the body, allowing you to move with more freedom, precision, and power.
The importance of being present and moving mindfully is emphasized over pushing hard and testing your boundaries. This allows the students to “own” the movements. "Owning the movement" is deeply satisfying, expands awareness, increases mobility, and prevents injuries.
